In October 2020, the St. Bernards Women’s Council will host the inaugural Pink Warrior Run/Walk to raise funds to support breast health services provided to uninsured and underinsured individuals across the region.

Last year, St. Bernards offered more than 2,000 mammograms to men and women across the region and more than 300 ultrasounds and biopsies, covering 23 counties in northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri.

“With the recent permanent cancellation of the Northeast Arkansas Race for the Cure, we wanted to ensure this program continued to get the support needed to sustain these vital services across our region,” said Alicia Storey, director of imaging services at St. Bernards. “Every cent raised through the Pink Warrior Run/Walk will stay right here in northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri.”

The virtual 5k will be held Oct. 1 - 31 as participants are encouraged to walk or run 3.1 miles sometime throughout the month. Registration for the race is $25, with each participant receiving a t-shirt, goody bag and bib. Participants can create teams or host their own virtual fundraisers to support the race.

Sponsorships are also available for the race. For more information, please contact Dana Housley, Director of Volunteer Services, at 870.207.2502 or via email at dhousley@sbrmc.org
