I am originally from Rolla, Missouri. Prior to starting my journey in medicine, I worked as an analytical chemist in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, my ambitions are to practice outpatient primary care medicine, if I decide to specialize in the future, I may consider geriatrics. My personal passions outside of medicine are wood-working and home renovations. My in-laws operate an apple and peach orchard, I often find myself helping them plant trees and pick fruit during my time off.

Hadia Arzoun, MD

Originally from Khartoum, Sudan, Dr. Arzoun received her medical degree from UMST medical college. She Moved to the United States 8 years ago to join her husband and settled in Jonesboro. She is thrilled to be part of St. Bernards internal medicine residency program. She enjoys traveling around the world, exploring different states in the US and trying new restaurants.

I am from southeast Missouri. I obtained my masters and medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville MO. I married my high school sweetheart, Ashley. We have 3 amazing children: Jordan (7) and twins James and Alexis (4). My hobbies include family time, traveling, golfing, and fishing.

I was born and raised in Kansas City. I received my bachelor’s degree of life science from Kansas State University. I went to medical school at UMHS in St. Kitts. Some of my hobbies include going to the gym, golfing, cooking, and being outdoors.

I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I love Cuban and Nicaraguan food, which is where my parents are from. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, cooking new dishes, and having "family lunches/walks" with my co-residents. Also everyone who knows me, knows I love steak and glazed donuts.

Zachary "Carter" Lee, DO

I grew up in Sherwood, AR before moving to Jonesboro in 2012 to attend Arkansas State University. After graduating, I stayed in Jonesboro to attend medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 2020, I graduated from medical school and was part of the inaugural class of the NYITCOM-Jonesboro campus. I am recently engaged to my wonderful fiancé, Lexi. Our world revolves around traveling often and spending time with our two labs, Zeta and Nova. In my spare time I enjoy watching sports, going to the lake or river, playing golf, listening to podcasts, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

I'm a second year resident originally from Alabama. I love to nerd out over Pulmonology and Critical Care and Theodore Roosevelt biographies. When I'm not at work you can find me climbing mountains with my wife and two dogs or at home watching The Office for the ten thousandth time.

Born in India, I immigrated to the US about 15 years ago and settled in Sugarland, Texas. I graduated from Avalon University School of Medicine. I chose St. Bernards since it is well known for its Cancer care and Critical care. I would like to pursue fellowship in either Hem/Oncology or Pulm/critical care. In my free time, I would like to spend time with my family, watch musical shows, sitcoms and travel around the world, although I am Indian who has never visited Taj Mahal and an American who has never seen Niagara Falls.

Alena Yarema, DO
I grew up in Russia before I moved to the US for college and medical school (Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona). I’m very excited for this next step of my career at St. Bernards Medical Center. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, hiking, running, playing board games, traveling, and music.

Amber Kuta, DO
I am originally from Mesquite, TX. I love the outdoors. My favorite outdoor activities are biking, kayaking and hiking with my dog. I am a huge animal lover and a foodie. I have been to Greece, Dubai, and Bahrain and my next trip I am going to plan is to Canada!

Bridget Lee, DO
I’m an Arkansas native, born and raised in Little Rock. I went to high school at Mount St. Mary Academy, undergrad at the U.S. Naval Academy, and medical school at NYIT COM. I’m excited to stay and serve the Jonesboro community for residency here at St. Bernard’s and enjoy doing triathlons with veterans in my free time.

I am thrilled for the opportunity to do my residency training at the Internal Medicine program at St. Bernards. The team spirit and supportive learning environment here made me feel at home right from the start. Outside of medicine, I love travelling, going on road trips and trying different cuisines. I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, playing tennis and going to the gym.

Margaret Kell, DO
Originally, from Chattanooga, TN., Margaret has called Boone, NC, Chicago, IL and most recently Jonesboro, Ar. home. She received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University in Chicago, and her medical degree from New York Institute of Technology COM at Arkansas State University. She plans to become a hospitalist after completing her residency.

Born and raised in New Jersey, lived in Brooklyn, NY for the past ten years. I love medicine because it allows you the opportunity to build strong relationships with your patients and learn about different people and where they come from. Most importantly I love family, not only my biological but I consider my fellow colleagues and health care workers my family and would do anything for them.

I was born in India, raised in Oman and Houston, Texas. I earned my BS in Biology at Houston Baptist University, and then went on to complete medical school at New York Institute of Technology at Arkansas State in Jonesboro. I’m excited to stay in Jonesboro to continue my medical training. My career aspirations include working with the underserved and going on medical mission trips. In my free time I love hiking, especially to a waterfall, going on road trips, and spending time with family and friends.
