An independent, non-profit, Catholic healthcare system, St. Bernards was founded and is still sponsored by the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters in Jonesboro. Our flagship hospital, St. Bernards Medical Center, opened its doors as a six-room house hospital in 1900, remaining in the heart of Jonesboro since. It now serves as the largest referral center in eastern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri. The hospital provides a 440-bed acute care setting, complete with the region’s most capable Level III Trauma Center and only neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

We invest in advanced technology and offer the full spectrum of medical services, including cancer care, heart and vascular care, primary care, emergency services, senior services, women’s services, pediatrics, surgical services, behavioral healthcare, virtual care and more. We’re the official healthcare provider for A-State Athletics.
