Your opinion matters at St. Bernards. Take part in shared governance committees—groups of nurses and leaders who collaborate to improve patient care and the working environment. We want to hear your perspective on quality, safety, recruitment and more.

Nursing by the Numbers

In 2022, we:

  • Cared for more than 21,000 patients
  • Delivered 1,500 babies
  • Provided financial assistance for almost 30 licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) through sponsorship programs
  • Supported the future of nursing by offering clinical opportunities for eight universities and community colleges, including 18 nursing programs averaging 230 students a week in the spring and fall semesters
  • Offered participation in a Nursing Residency Program to 50 eligible RN graduates to provide support and assistance for those transitioning from an academic setting to professional nursing practice
  • Acknowledged 400 DAISY nominations to recognize nurses and awarded monthly DAISY honorees on their units throughout 2022
  • Celebrated 447 work anniversaries for nurses who have served 10 years or more
