Cardiac Rehab

Improve your energy level and quality of life with rehabilitation for your heart and lungs at St. Bernards Health & Wellness. This personalized exercise program helps you recover after heart surgery, a lung procedure or a chronic diagnosis. Health and fitness specialists give you one-on-one support, and your peers help make workout sessions fun. The outcome? More strength, a better mood and a greater sense of empowerment.

Your First Appointment

After we receive your doctor’s referral, we’ll call you to schedule an enrollment appointment. During this visit, we’ll assess your fitness level so we can tailor the program to your needs and help you set rehabilitation goals.

What to Expect

You’ll exercise with a few other patients two or three times a week for 36 sessions. We’ll make sure your heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation stay within a safe zone as you work out on a treadmill, stationary bike or step equipment.

Heart Health Education

Ask us about optional, but recommended heart health classes. Called Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab, these additional 36 sessions include:

  • One-on-one nutrition counseling with a dietitian
  • Cooking classes
  • Live workshops
  • Videos on living a heart-healthy life

You’ll also receive a personal toolkit with helpful resources to take home.
