Commemorating Flo & Phil Jones
The hospice house’s name honors the couple who tirelessly advocated for hospice care in this region and dedicated their lives to serving others.
Flo helped organize the steering committee that brought a hospice program to the Jonesboro area and served as a founding board member of Hospice of Northeast Arkansas. She was the driving force behind the establishment of the St. Bernards hospice program. Flo also served on the board of directors of the Arkansas State Hospice Association.
Phil was a tireless community patron throughout his life, contributing his significant energy generously to his church and the causes of healthcare, education and the development of Jonesboro and the State of Arkansas. He contributed more than 30 years of service to St. Bernards Healthcare, serving until his death in 2004 on the St. Bernards Governing Board and on the St. Bernards Development Foundation Board.
