Husband, Wife Physicians Drs. Nathan, Shelby Tripod Begin Family Medicine Practices at St. Bernards

St. Bernards Healthcare announced the arrival of physicians Nathan Tripod, D.O. and Shelby Tripod, D.O., husband and wife family medicine specialists practicing at St. Bernards First Care in Jonesboro.

Both physicians are native Arkansans, earning their doctor of osteopathic medicine degrees from NYITCOM at A-State in 2020. They then completed family medicine residencies at McAlester Regional Health Center in McAlester, Okla., graduating this year.

Individually, Dr. Nathan Tripod grew up in Paragould, graduating from Paragould High School. He attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, earning his bachelor’s degree in 2015. As a primary care provider, he will see patients at the St. Bernards First Care – Matthews clinic. His training includes providing full medical care to adult, pediatric and neonatal patients in ambulatory clinical, inpatient and emergency department settings.

Dr. Shelby Tripod, meanwhile, grew up in Fayetteville, graduating from Fayetteville High School. She attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2016. As a primary care provider, she carries extensive knowledge of family medical services, geriatrics, hospitalist medicine, pediatrics and non-emergency care. She will also see patients in a primary care setting at the St. Bernards First Care – Matthews clinic.

Drs. Tripods each hold professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. They live in Jonesboro, and in their spare time enjoy music and the outdoors.
