Clinical Trials

At St. Bernards Healthcare, you have access to some of the country’s most innovative medical services and programs because we participate in clinical trials. These research studies examine promising new approaches to care related to injury or illness:

  • Prevention
  • Detection and diagnosis
  • Treatment
  • Quality of life
  • Recovery and survivorship

Considering a Clinical Trial

If you participate in a clinical trial, you may benefit from a new test, treatment or support service before it’s widely available. But keep in mind that not everyone who takes part receives the new intervention. Some participants get a placebo—a harmless fake option that researchers compare to the real test or treatment. Regardless, all participants can feel good knowing they’re helping advance healthcare.

Qualifying for a Clinical Trial

All clinical trials have criteria for participants. Ask your doctor if you’re eligible for an upcoming research study based on your condition, health history and other factors. You can also browse active clinical trials below.
