Tests & Procedures
Our hospitals and clinics provide:
You need a doctor’s referral for all exams except routine, annual mammograms.
Walk-In X-rays in Jonesboro
You don’t need to make an appointment for an X-ray test at St. Bernards Imaging Center in Jonesboro. After your doctor sends us the referral, you can walk in whenever it’s convenient for you.
Musculoskeletal Treatments
If you have joint pain or tendonitis, a St. Bernards radiologist may be able to help.
Therapeutic Joint Injections
Relieve chronic joint pain with injections of a steroid that reduces inflammation. To precisely guide the injection to the right place, a radiologist will use ultrasound imaging or fluoroscopy (real-time X-ray images). That makes your treatment more effective and reduces the risk of unexpected side effects.
Tenex for Tendonitis
Chronic tendon pain doesn’t have to slow you down. Call St. Bernards Imaging Center at 870.207.8000 to find out if we can get you back to your activities with Tenex treatment for:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Tendonitis in the elbow, hip, knee or ankle
- Plantar fasciitis in the foot
During this procedure, Zeke Shotts, MD, will:
- Use ultrasound to find the damaged tendon
- Numb the area with an anesthetic
- Use an ultrasonic tool to break down and remove unhealthy tissue
You won’t need any stitches, and you can go home right away. Look forward to a full recovery in as little as three to six weeks.
Getting Your Results
Your doctor will receive your imaging test results in one or two days. If you have a screening mammogram, we’ll call you to share the results the same day.
Results of any imaging test may appear in your patient portal account before your doctor has a chance to review and explain them. Don’t try to interpret them yourself. Your physician will recommend the next steps.
Imaging Accreditations
We want you to feel confident in the quality of care you’ll receive. So, we chose to earn these national accreditations from the American College of Radiology:
You can trust accredited facilities to have the right staff, technology and processes to ensure your safety and accurate results.
Radiation Safety
Bone density, CT, PET and X-ray exams use a small amount of radiation to show your bones, organs or soft tissues. The benefits of these tests usually outweigh the low risk of radiation harm. Rest assured; we follow the national Image Wisely and Image Gently guidelines to use the lowest effective radiation dose for your or your child’s exams.
