Physical Therapy

Move more easily and less painfully after an injury, surgery or diagnosis of a chronic condition. Take advantage of physical therapy—treatment that empowers you to recover strength, range of motion and other physical abilities.

Rehabilitation Services

Your therapist evaluates your condition to make a personal treatment plan—there are no one-size-fits-all exercises. Your plan may include hands-on techniques, lifestyle recommendations and one or more of the specialized services below.

Aquatic Therapy

Enjoy the benefits of exercise with less stress on your joints. Ask your therapist about aquatic (pool) therapy, available at:

Warm water supports your weight and reduces the chance of falls and other injuries. It also makes movement easier if you have trouble exercising on land due to chronic pain, balance issues or other conditions.

Industrial Rehabilitation

Help your injured employees return to their jobs in a safe, timely way with industrial rehabilitation. St. Bernards physical therapists work with your staffers one-on-one to build strength, restore range of motion and relieve pain so your team can be as productive as possible.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Reduce dizziness, restore your balance and decrease vision problems with vestibular rehabilitation. This type of therapy can reduce your risk of falls after a diagnosis of a concussion, gait (movement) disorder, inner ear disorder or vertigo. Your physical therapist will create a safe environment to practice movements needed for standing, walking and climbing stairs. You may also benefit from gaze stabilization (eye training) exercises that reduce nausea, headaches and other symptoms.

Virtual Reality PT for Seniors

At St. Bernards Rehab Services at the Villa, you have access to the latest innovation in physical therapy—virtual reality technology. Our groundbreaking Neuro Rehab VR system simulates real-world environments, like a grocery store or soccer field, so you can safely practice everyday movements. You’ll feel like you’re playing a video game as you overcome symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, stroke, muscle weakness or another condition.
