Virtual Healthcare
Getting medical care has never been easier. St. Bernards Healthcare offers primary care, specialist services and hospital-level support not only in person, but also through video and other technology. That means less travel, fewer expenses and more convenience—but the same high quality of services you expect from your trusted local provider.
Virtual Care Services
You may benefit from:
- St. Bernards Go – Virtual urgent care
- Hospital Care at Home – Technology that helps you get the same level of medical attention at home as at St. Bernards Medical Center
- Telehealth nursing – Video communication with you and your family during your stay at St. Bernards Medical Center
Video Appointments
Ask your St. Bernards provider about the availability of video visits for medication refills, mental healthcare, follow-up appointments and other services. We’ll email or text you a link to see the provider at your scheduled time on your computer or mobile device. There’s no need to download an app, and billing is the same as an in-person visit.
Specialist Care
Even if you don’t live in the Jonesboro area, you may not need to travel far for specialized care. When your doctor refers you to a specialist with St. Bernards Medical Group, ask about the option for video appointments at Five Rivers Medical Center, CrossRidge Community Hospital, Piggott Community Hospital or elsewhere in northeast Arkansas or southeast Missouri. You’ll see and talk to the specialist through a video monitor, and a nurse in the room will help perform a physical exam.
You may also see a specialist by video during a hospital stay.
Our video visits use technology from Innovator Health, a company founded by Darren Sommer, DO, a member of St. Bernards Medical Group.
Remote Health Monitoring
If you have diabetes, heart disease or another chronic condition, your provider may recommend technology that monitors your health wherever you are. You’ll wear or take home devices to track your blood pressure, weight, heart rate, blood sugar or other vital signs. Your care team receives the information electronically and reaches out when you need medical attention. That helps you stay healthier and avoid trips to the hospital.
Telesitting at St. Bernards Medical Center
If your loved one needs around-the-clock attention to stay safe, a telesitter may monitor them by video at St. Bernards Medical Center. We’ll place a camera in their room to let us keep a close eye on the patient even when we’re not there in person. When a nurse visits the bedside for care that requires privacy, we can temporarily shut off the camera. Rest assured that your family member is secure and under compassionate supervision.
